Fixing New Jersey's Legal Climate Woes

Last month, your friendly blogger had the opportunity to attend a New Jersey Lawsuit Reform Alliance conference on how New Jersey's legal climate compares to other states. The featured speaker was Dr. Lawrence McQuillan of the Pacific Research Institute, who authored the Institute's US Tort Liability Index.

New Jersey placed 49th in that survey, and McQuillan crossed the country to explain why. (In a self-promotional note, we'll add that Dr. McQuillan will also be a featured columnist in the October issue of COMMERCE Magazine on the same subject.)
